Ten were built for use on light passenger and mixed trains on the mainline railways of Tasmania, and saw service from 1952 to 1975. ==History== After World War II, the TGR were adamant on reconstructing and modernising their ageing fleet of mainline locomotives. Seeking to supplement their current stock, and to displace a number of locomotives designed in the 1920s, the company ordered ten 4-6-2 light passenger/freight locomotives from Robert Stephenson and Hawthorns in 1951.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.railtasmania.com/loco/m.htm )〕 The locomotive was based upon a design known as the YB class; manufactured for the Indian Railways from 1927 and Burma Railways in 1947.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.railpage.com.au/f-p590135.htm )〕 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「TGR M class」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
